Biographical Summary
Mary (Prower) Martin was born probably
around 1580, probably in the vicinity of Great Burstead, Billericay,
which is where she married Christopher Martin on 26 February
1606/7; she had previously been married to a Mr. Prower, and mothered a
son by him,
Solomon Prower. Mary and Christopher also had a child together,
Nathaniel Martin, baptized on 26 February 1609/10 in Billericay.
No other children are recorded to the couple. Mary came on the
Mayflower with her husband Christopher and son Solomon Prower.
They all died the first winter.
